Torqeedo is a German manufacturer and market leader in the field of electric boat drives. At Lake Starnberg, the idea for Torqeedo, a lake where almost no internal combustion engines are permitted, was born. Boat motors with electric drive, however, can be driven carefree.
At Torqeedo, great value is placed on simple handling and safety , so that electromobility on the water is ideal for beginners in boating. The motors and batteries impress with their high efficiency and technical refinements such as the integrated onboard system. The manufacturer Torqeedo covers a wide range from motors for kayaks to 80hp motors for yachts.
The company ensures many innovations within the industry, such as the battery of the electric car BMW i3 that was made seaworthy in cooperation with BMW. Recently, there are also some models of the electric direct drive boat motors in the Torqeedo range that promise silent driving pleasure.
